A Big Thanks |
| Well, another annual Queensland Young People in AA convention has come and gone. The 2011 committee would like to extend a big thanks to all who supported the convention and the fundraisers leading up to it. It's so important that people young in recovery have a way to get into service that gives them a friendly, vibrant atmosphere and positive feelings about living in sobriety. |

We Need You In 2012! |
| With that in mind, it's almost time to get a new committee together for the 2012 convention. But there's one big problem - we don't have a chairperson to call the first committee meeting! If you've had two years continuous sobriety and have previously held a portfolio in a convention committee (ideally QYPAA, but not necessarily!), then WE NEED YOU!. |
| It's not an onerous task and will be a lot of fun, as we will be hosting AUSYPAA in 2012 - the national YPAA convention. (Each state's YPAA takes turns each year to change their convention name to AUSYPAA.) |
| The reality is that, without a chairperson, there will be no committee or convention. So I do urge you to consider the role if it's something you're able to commit to. |

| But this year isn't over yet! In October, NEWYPAA is hosting the national YPAA before (hopefully!) Queensland does it next year. If you're able to get to Sydney then, this is going to be huge! |
